1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of SpeedSync. By installing or using the extension, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use SpeedSync.
You must be legally able to enter this agreement and authorized to use the device, YouTube session, video, captions, and transcript files involved.
2. What SpeedSync does
SpeedSync estimates the speaking rate of captioned passages in recorded YouTube videos and changes playback speed toward the WPM target you choose. It can apply a separate speed to caption gaps and can read a timed transcript you explicitly import.
Caption timing is an estimate. SpeedSync does not listen to audio, transcribe speech, verify silence, guarantee comprehension, or provide word-level audio alignment. It is intended for desktop Chrome on supported recorded videos.
3. Your responsibility
- Use SpeedSync only on content, devices, accounts, and transcripts you are authorized to access.
- Choose playback settings that are safe and comfortable for you.
- Confirm that an imported transcript matches the current video and its timing.
- Review the current video and captions when pacing accuracy matters.
- Do not send private transcripts, account information, or sensitive screenshots to Rekh support.
4. Chrome and YouTube
Chrome, the Chrome Web Store, YouTube, videos, captions, accounts, and network services are operated by third parties under their own terms and policies. Their interfaces and behavior can change. SpeedSync is an independent Rekh product and is not endorsed by YouTube or Google.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use SpeedSync to violate another person's rights, bypass access controls, interfere with Chrome or YouTube, distribute malicious files, probe the extension or a third-party service, or break applicable law.
6. Availability and disclaimers
SpeedSync is provided as available. Rekh does not promise continuous availability, compatibility with every video or caption track, an exact WPM result, error-free playback, or support for live videos, Shorts, mobile YouTube, or embedded players.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rekh will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, access, productivity, or opportunity arising from use of or inability to use SpeedSync. Nothing here excludes liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
7. Ending use
You may turn SpeedSync off, clear its Chrome storage, or uninstall it at any time. SpeedSync has no Rekh account to close. Rekh may update, suspend, or stop distributing the extension when needed for security, policy, compatibility, or maintenance.
8. General terms
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the agreement between you and Rekh for SpeedSync. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. We may update these terms, and the effective date at the top will change. These terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
